Use this, never a letter
- The ‘Leave Record’ and ‘Absence Record’ are provided in the school handbook itself. Only these ought to be used, not letters.
- The ‘Leave Record’ is meant to be used by parents or guardians in case of leave required for serious reasons.
- The handbook should be presented at the Principal’s office that very day, well in time, before the attendance is taken — or else the student will be marked absent.
- When it is foreseen that a child would be absent on a particular day for grave reasons, it is the responsibility of the parents or guardians to get the leave sanctioned well in advance.
- Long leaves must be applied for by the parents personally, at least one day in advance.
